I know, still lots of work to do here…but I got the UVs unwrapped and it was already moving day. We’ll see what kind of attention this guy gets in Seattle.

A couple weeks ago I was visiting Griptonite Games, a studio in Kirkland, Wa. While I was there I got a portfolio critique from two of their concept artists (David and Christine) and their art director (Randy). One of the suggestions I got was to sort of diversify the kinds of content I’m producing; I could use more “orc and space marine” so to speak. Hence the environment in the last post, which i dont do a lot of, and now a hulking mechanical robot thingy, which I also dont do a lot of. One leg down…one body to go.
For some reason I’ve really been hitting the monsters around here. Whats special about this one you ask? Why thank you for asking, hit ‘find more’ for a couple tidbits…
Just a couple old characters i dug up and a fresh, new, zombie. nothing too mind-blowing…except i did make the zombie skin texture from pictures of pancakes, bread, rotten apple and bananas! i dont know about you but knowing that makes the zombie much more disgusting…click on the image to get a good look.
holy cow! its been a long time since I’ve been able to post anything because of moving…twice…so to celebrate, and get myself back into it, what better than a robot firefly!? or lightning bug if you prefer…and check out the rest of the post for more shots of the cute lil’ guy.
