Everyone enjoys a cook out…especially pumpkins. I recently entered a competition to be published in a book showcasing artwork done with Autodesk software.

This is what i came up with…

Here’s he is in all his polygonal glory…polygons, its not a party without em

Here is is smoothed, posed, and shaded…wow!
Next I slap together a place to live and we’re all set…get it…set!…like a stage!…sorry. Anyways the ground and background aren’t much to look at right now because its night time and they’re just there for silhouettes, but just you wait!

You cant have a cook out without something to cook…so I made him some dogs!
How did I get that hot dog texture you ask? Why simple! From a hot dog!
Luckily there were some already cooked from a recent dinner in my fridge so i grabbed one, skinned it, and scanned the “pelt”.

Finally, we churn out an ambient occlusion pass, a depth of field pass, a color pass, say the magic words…and presto!
